Introduction
Welcome to Higher Woodley Farm. We are situated approximately 3.5 miles from the ancient stannary town of Tavistock in a rural peaceful location. Our farm is a working dairy farm approached from a traditional Devon lane. Higher Woodley Farm is a traditional farm house which offers bed and breakfast accommodation with 3 en-suite rooms. Pre-Arrival
There is a bus route to Gulworthy and a train station at Gunnislake. Taxis are available from Tavistock and surrounding district.
Directions to Higher Woodley Farm are available on our website and our brochure with local landmarks given. The farm is signposted from the top of the lane to the farm.

Arrival and Car Parking facilities
Guests are asked for an approximate time of arrival so we can always be here to welcome and help with the transport of luggage.
There is ample parking on a level graveled area in front of the house in close proximity to the main door.
Main Entrance and reception
Our main entrance, the front door is 80cm wide which leads into a porch with another door which is 90cm wide there is a very small threshold of 9cm.Guests are guided to their rooms and facilities explained.
Public Areas General (internal)
The hallway is carpeted throughout and the guests sitting room leads from the hallway the door entrance is 85cm wide. The guest lounge has a log fire, television, dvd plus comfortable seating with a selection of games maps and books to browse through.
Leading from the sitting room is the dining room this is approached with two wide opening doors and there are two steps of 18cm leading down to dining room. The floor of the dining room is a laminated floor.
The height of the table is 72 cm the chairs are 46cm and do not have arms.
There is a table where cereals are placed; Fruit juice, yogurt, and a fruit bowl are on the main table all other food is served to the table. Local food is sourced whenever possible.
Special diets can be catered for. In the dining room is a fridge for guest use.
Laundry
Drying facilities are available. Ironing facilities are readily available please do ask.
Outdoor facilities
Guests are very welcome to use the garden and the seating areas. Chairs can be moved to locations of guests choice.
Bedrooms
Our bedrooms are situated on the first floor. The staircase to the peach and blue rooms has 7 stairs of 18cm high leading onto a small landing then a further 6 stairs of the same height. This leads onto a large landing where the peach and blue rooms are situated.
All our bedrooms have short-pile carpet. Synthetic pillows and duvets are used on all the beds. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard with co-coordinating linen and accessories. All have stunning views over the Devon and Cornwall countryside.
The blue room has twin beds with side table and a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en-suite bathroom has a walk in shower, plus en-suite facilities. The flooring in the bathroom is a non slip laminated floor.
The peach room has a double bed with side tables, wardrobe and dressing table. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath. The flooring is a non slip laminated floor.
The Red room is accessed from a separate stairway with 8 stairs of 18cm deep leading onto a small landing followed by 4 further stairs. The door to the red room is 76cm wide.
The red room has a double bed with side tables a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The ceiling in the red room gently slopes and has original wooden beams.
The en suite bathroom has a small threshold step leading up into the shower.
The bedrooms have digital televisions in all rooms with remote controls, all rooms have well stocked beverage trays, hair dryers, fans for hot days, clock radios etc. Our bathrooms are stocked with a range of towels, bathrobes and toiletries. All rooms have their own key.
Additional information
Mobile phone reception is generally good. Wifi broadband internet connection is available throughout the house.
We are a non smoking establishment.
We are happy to store medication in our fridge with 24 hour access by arrangement.
The house is fitted with smoke detectors.
There is an information pack in each bedroom which includes details of our fire procedure.
